Converting Unity Connection Users to AD / LDAP

I recently ran into an instance where a customer wanted to integrate Unity Connection users with AD after it had already been installed and configured and used for several years.  The CUCM had already been integrated and the users had not been imported from either AD or CUCM.  The users had been configured on the Unity Connection manually.  In this particular instance the usernames did not match what was in AD.  To do a conversion they must match so the user first had to change the usernames in Unity Connection to match what was in AD.  Once that was done, here are the steps that were then followed.

1. From CUAdmin goto Tools --> Bulk Administration Tool and do an Export to CSV
Be sure to choose Export and Users with Mailbox

2. Open the CSV file in Excel and copy the data from the Alias column to the LdapCcmUserId column and save the CSV file
3.  Go back into the Bulk Administration Tool and hit update and Users with Mailbox and choose the CSV file that you just updated.  You also must put in a name for the failed objects.

4. Goto System Settings --> LDAP --> LDAP Directory Configuration click on Add New and configure the correct parameters

5. Goto System Settings --> LDAP --> LDAP Authentication and Configure the correct authentication parameters

6. Goto System Settings --> LDAP --> LDAP Directory Configuration again and click on Perform a Full Sync

7. Go into the Users and verify that they are now LDAP integrated.
